PLACES TO SEE TASMANIAN PLANTS ON THE NW COAST.

HENRY SOMERSET RESERVE:
Terrestrial orchids predominantly during spring......Take the Railton road(B13) from Latrobe,approx.9km from historic home Frogmore to signed parking area on your left.

TASMANIAN ARBORETUM INCORPORATED:
Eugenana      A Tasmanian collection of woody species with a alpine section. Specimens labelled. 
Follow signs from Mersey Main Rd.(B13) or from Forth Main Rd.(B19).Information can be obtained from The Showcase in Devonport.

TAI annex:
Hogg creek. Short steep walk to fern gully. Inquire at TAI

KELCEY TIER:
On the Devonport skyline. An area of dry sclerophyll with range of flora displayed in Spring
Take Mersey Main road(13)to Spreyton, turn west up Durkins road. Parking area signed.

ROMAINE PARK:
Take mount St.(18) south to Roslyn Ave.(3km), turn left then right into Blackwood Pde., Left into Kingsley Ave.
Revegetation work. Wetlands

MYRTLE HOLE, Latrobe: 
On the Mersey River. Willow control and fish hatching being undertaken by Latrobe Landcare group.
Signed walk takes you up the hill through wet and dry sclerophyll. Spring best time for flowers.
Follow Hamilton St from central Latrobe (Gilbert St.) to end of road approximately 3kms.

Mt ROLAND complex: 
South of Sheffield. Take C136 along Claude Rd., Approximately 7kms
Walking track is steep, with central highlands views, take you through a variety of vegetation up to alpine flora, predominately flowering in spring
Several entrances available. Seek local information.

DETENTION FALLS:
Short steep walk. Rainforest walk along creek. Prionotes,  cerinthoides (climbing heath) in spring, Anopterus glanduloses (laurel) late in year.
Take Myalla rd.(C229), from Bass Highway, west of Sisters Creek for 9.5kms Route signed.

WINTERBROOK FALLS:
South of Ulverstone.
Northern boundary for Athrotaxis selaginoises,(King billy)
Boarded walk through Anodopetalum biglandulosum (Horizontal bush)
Follow signs from Ulverstone to South Nietta,(B15 or B17) Then ask a local.
